Make commissioning and verification repeatable.
Use these preparation checklists alongside the installation manual for your exact model and firmware. They do not replace a site work procedure, terminal diagram or an approved reference method.
Plan a measurable pilot
- Record site, sensor model, serial number, firmware, mounting and water chemistry.
- Define the required range, response and action threshold; distinguish resolution from detection capability.
- Select the reference method and agree on sampling location, timing and acceptance criteria.
- Record paired measurements, operating conditions, missing data and service work.
- Document the decision and the limits of the result before extending it to other sites.
Prepare a wet-tap installation
- Identify the approved sensor, insertion/removal assembly and the manual that applies.
- Have the responsible installer verify pipe, corporation stop, pressure, access and the site work procedure.
- Plan safe access, isolation and retrieval using the approved installation instructions.
- After installation, check the completed assembly and compare readings with the agreed reference method.
Prepare D20 wiring and integration
- Match the controller and sensor firmware to the current wiring and configuration manual.
- Confirm power supply, terminal assignments and interface hardware from that manual.
- Record signal scaling, units, Modbus addresses and data-quality handling in the site configuration record.
- Have qualified personnel perform wiring; test communications and the receiving system with a controlled commissioning procedure.
Commission a remote monitoring point
- Select the low-power sensor, BTSB variant, battery and approved installation.
- Record usable battery capacity, measurement duty cycle, reporting frequency, coverage and planned reserve.
- Verify timestamps and readings at the destination; test missing-report notifications as well as value alarms.
- Assign service, battery and reference-verification responsibilities.
