Aquaculture is an increasingly important part of the earth’s food supply and a major economic driver worldwide. While chlorine is an important part of culling the contaminants in source water, even very small amounts of chlorine (0.1 – 0.3 ppm) can be fatal to fish. Operators must know the residual chlorine levels throughout the system: in the source water, in discharge tanks, and everywhere in between.
The Halogen MP5™ amperometric chlorine sensor detects 0-5 ppm free chlorine. and will continuously monitor 4 additional parameters important to aquaculture success. The MP5™ analyzer reports Free Chlorine, pH, Temperature, Conductivity, and ORP. Deploying multiple MP5™ sensors throughout a facility allows for pinpoint monitoring at each stage of the operation.
The MP5™ is self-cleaning and approved for NSF-61 installations in drinking water pipes with no required waste stream, so operators can deploy sensors everywhere they’d like, in pipes or in tanks.
