Remote Chlorine Analyzer for
Drinking Water Applications

The stable calibration and self-cleaning technology in the MP5™ chlorine sensor enable reliable low-maintenance remote tank and water grid monitoring.

Use the NSF-61 capable MP5 chlorine analyzer to monitor chlorine and other parameters at remote tanks, distribution trunks, or end-of-line areas in the water grid.

Because traditional chlorine sensors require frequent maintenance, analyzing chlorine residuals across a water grid or in remote tanks has long been a highly manual process, requiring truck roll-outs and grabbing samples.

Unlike maintenance-intensive sensors, Halogen’s MP5™ Chlorine Sensor is self-cleaning and has been shown to maintain stable calibration for months in drinking water applications. In addition, the MP5™ is the only chlorine analyzer approved for NSF-61 use in drinking water tanks or pipes with no required waste stream.

Halogen has remote monitoring solutions that combine any MP5 with a battery and cellular-enabled remote telemetry. For remote tank operations, the MP5™ can be suspended in a tank, inserted in the fill pipe, or deployed at the outflow. In a similar fashion, MP5™ sensors can be deployed throughout a water grid without needing the electrical grid.

Operators can measure free chlorine, pH, temperature, conductivity, and ORP at nearly any point in the grid that has a cell signal.

Remote Monitoring with the MP5™ Chlorine Analyzer

Halogen Systems, Inc - MP5 NSF-61 Amperometric Chlorine Sensor lineup

5 PARAMETERS IN ONE UNIT

The NSF-61 certified, Halogen MP5™ measures 5 testing parameters in near-time using one online unit without losing a drop of treated water. Operators can assess free chlorine, pH, temperature, conductivity, and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) in near-time in the pipe with no waste stream.

FLEXIBLE DEPLOYMENT OPTIONS

The MP5™ analyzer makes things simple. Our NSF-61 certification means no flow-control plumbing and no waste stream to mitigate. There are no reagents or membranes to stock, manage, or replace. Instead, you’ll replace the cap, cleaning beads, and impeller blade once per year in 5 minutes without affecting the calibration.

Halogen MP5 Chlorine Sensor NSF-61 Unaffected by flow and pressure

UNAFFECTED BY PRESSURE OR FLOW

The MP5™ adapts to nearly any flow or pressure. Even a dry pipe won’t ruin the calibration. It can be installed directly in a pipe, located side-stream, suspended in a trough, or simply dropped in a tank. Whatever the deployment type or parameters, the MP5™ is unique in accuracy, reliability, and stability.

Amperometric Sensors With Patented Technology to Modernize Your Testing

Bare Electrode Sensor

Amperometric Sensors have many advantages over the older membrane and reagent technology.  Halogen’s implementation of bare 3-electrode amperometric technology provides pH-stabilized precise measurements of Free Chlorine without introducing additional complexity to your workflow.

Self Cleaning

The old amperometric technology used by competitor sensors still requires a membrane and electrolyte to guard against sensor fouling. Such membranes are sensitive to flow and pressure spikes. Halogen’s patented SensiCLĒNE™ technology prevents fouling without introducing pressure or flow sensitivity.
